Raton From The Air
- Tour
Raton is an incredible place to live. The scenery that
we live around is truly amazing; the weather on average can't be beat; the
people are the friendliest in the country. Check us out whether you need
to find employment or are ready to retire to the very best place to retire to.
People regularly relocate here from all the "popular" retirement centers!
We live among volcanoes, mesas, mountains, lakes, world class fishing and
hunting. The Whittington Center is the world's biggest and best shooting
sports area; ask 100,000+ people who come here each year to visit the
facility. We have beautiful mountain lakes within 10 minutes of town.
Our water is the best in the Southwest. Our wildlife includes deer, elk,
bear, cougar, turkey, pronghorn, eagle, hawk and all the smaller species.
We don't have to leave home to see most of the above critters either.
Interstate 25 skirts the town so we have excellent access to all places from
North to South. We have excellent State Parks with camping nearby.
Skiing and the winter sports are in the nearby mountains. Wildlife
habitats are also nearby. It's like living in a mountain community
without having to live in the mountains. Come on out for a visit or bring
the furniture and settle down.
